In the effort to pick up my TRB project back up off its feet, I'm reviving my DeviantART account to give updates and eventually actual pages of the comic once I'm finally into production. This drawing is a piece of concept art for one of the many characters inhabiting the world of The Raven Box.

Randomly, today, I decided to myself that I aught to put my main character Cobalt Katze into the TRB 'verse somehow... And the idea of a human-esque Cobalt had been kicking at my side for a while anyways. And so this odd little concept drawing came into being!

Drawing itself is sortta so-so/rushed. Screwed up in the face proportions mainly. Concept-wise though, I may introduce him as a character once the story focuses more on the CoW rather than the CoK.

I decided that in the grand scheme of things, Cobalt would probably be a person on the Continent of War since they are a bit more primitive and would likely dress their warriors up in dramatic colors. Hence, he could keep his distinctive markings. I borrowed Aetigae's old ribbon-sash idea to give a little flowy thing to be similar to a tail. Pretty similar colors to Aetigae in general, since I figured that they might have been friends back in their army.

And yes, he's very short! I'm saving all these concept drawings as relative size. Raven is slightly taller than Aetigae, but they're generally the most vertical of the characters. Both Ridelle and Trent are pretty short, but Cobalt's even shorter.

Oh yeah. I DREW HANDS! It's amazing. I never do. They kinda suck, but it's better than large sleeves or convenient hand-coverers.
